Since being founded in 1986 for the purpose of providing a superior product in a timely manner, Builders Choice has become a name to trust in the component industry. Builders Choice is owned by the Overholtzer family, who have a reputation for excellence in construction and wood-working spanning several generations.

After starting a small roof truss manufacturing business with only 20 employees, Builders Choice has grown into two modern facilities.

The Hughson Plant is currently located on 23 acres in the small town of Hughson, a few miles south of Modesto, in the heart of California's San Joaquin Valley. We currently employ over 160 people and process more than two and a half million board feet of lumber monthly. The Builders Choice Hughson plant is designed for expansion and efficiency. The current facility includes a 50,000 sq.ft. fabrication building, a 15,000 sq. ft. saw shop, and a 6,000 sq. ft. office building. Builders Choice has 13 acres available for future development.

The Nevada plant is located on 29 acres in the town of Silver Springs, located a few miles of Nevada's Capital, Carson City. The facility currently employs 35 people and is rapidly growing.The Nevada Builders Choice is designed with expansion in mind due to the growing industry and incorporates the same efficiency that makes the original plant so successful. The current facility includes a 150,000 sq. ft. fabrication building, a 7,000 sq. ft. maintenance building and a 6,000 sq. ft office. Nevada BCI has 10 acres for future development.
